Not the movie theme but easily my favorite song within a movie.

The Last of the Mohicans - The Kiss

And my HS buddy, his father and I were all in this film.....well, sorta.

While I was at away at school in Asheville, NC, they were filming the movie up at Lake James. We went up there one weekend and were cast as extras for one of the battle scenes.

Neither my friend nor I are ever seen on camera, but there is a scene with Daniel Day-Lewis walking into a cabin to meet with someone and my friend's father is seen walking past the cabin.

I've been joshing my workmate who sits next to me about how he spent hours in make-up with false teeth, dirty fingernails, perfectly co-ordinated period-clothing from head to toe. only for a split-second shot of the back of his head in the new Pirates of The Carribean movie 01laugh.gif

Amen to Inception, Pans Labyrinth and 12 muthafackin Monkey. Incredible music for incredible movies.

My band used this as an intro-music for concerts. I love it, it's nerve-wrecking:

RESURRECTION!!!!

Okay, for the past few days, I've had this one stuck in my head. It's not a theme song, but it sure does bring the epic. "War" (film version) by Vince DiCola:

Of all the songs written for the Rocky movies, I gotta say, this was easily my favourite piece. Even though it is typically 80's synth heavy.

And I don't care what the critics say, but the fight montage they did for this track was bad ass.

Lalo Schifrin was the king of movie theme songs:

Bullitt

Magnum Force

Dirty Harry (funky bass just isn't loud enough!)

Mission Impossible (his version of it is awesome)

Enter The Dragon

It's a shame he wasn't as prolific as John Williams. Otherwise he might also have been a household name.

The original Guyver and it's sequel were very much B-movies, but for whatever reason, I always liked the music. The first Guyver movie's theme reminds me of Terminator 2's theme for some reason.

Guyver:

Guyver 2 - Dark Hero:

I listen to about as much soundtrack stuff these days as metal!

umbrifer knows what the fuck is up! Goblin, Frizzi... dude, have you listened to Zombi, a band from PA? they're pretty good. I'm trying to do my own sonudtrack

Goblin - Dawn Of The Dead:

John Harrison's Dead Suite - Day Of The Dead:

Frizzi's Flesh Eaters:

Beyond Frizzi:

Pretty much any of John Carpenters themes... ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13!

Commando soundtrack from james horner:

Red Heat soundtrack from james horner:

Ghost Dog... The RZA:

All of Lalo Shifrin's stuff rocks...

Last but not least, even though not technically a real movie, ULVER:

Whole album, amazing.

I have the Ulver - Svidd Neger soundtrack and have never managed to see the movie!

The music they originally used in the opening credits at the pre-screening for this was Metallica's "Enter Sandman". See if you notice any similarities..

Oh yeah, I definitely noticed the "Enter Sandman" likeness the very first time I watched the movie 15 years ago. The minute the guitar riff kicks in after the keyboard at the start.

I never knew that they used "Enter Sandman" in pre screening though.

Love a lot of those old movies soundtracks. Nice to see The Beyond getting some love. I love that movie. Like Dee said I listen to a lot of soundtracks these days. Pretty much dig anything done by John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, and James Horner is gold to me.
