A new board, a new main football thread.
There's no better way to start it too with this delightful piece of news; QUOTE Eric Cantona admits he would 'love' the opportunity to manage Manchester United in a few years' time. The Frenchman established himself as a United legend during four-and-a-half years at Old Trafford in the 1990s. He won four Premier League titles during his time with the Red Devils and was the catalyst behind the club's domestic domination. Cantona retired in 1997 and has since taken up acting, but concedes he would enjoy the chance to replace Sir Alex Ferguson as United boss. "Today I do exciting things and I am proving many things," Cantona told Sky Sports News. "Today I can enjoy it even more, but maybe in the future, in a few years' time when Ferguson retires, yeah, why not? I'd love to." When asked if there were any other clubs he would be willing to manage, Cantona replied: "No, Manchester United...or the England national team." (source) Also, who the fuck is Aaron Ramsey and why the fuck does he want to join Arsenal? |

A load of clubs have been after him, apparently he has a lot of potential. He hasn't even been playing very long. Still, should be good for the Welsh national side (

Eric Cantona must be the only Frenchman in the world that wishes he was English. Awesome.

Still, should be good for the Welsh national side ( I've heard him called the next Ryan Giggs in a very 'pick a Welsh legend....yeah he's the new him' headline. At least he's not the new Craig Bellamy. |

QUOTE At least he's not the new Craig Bellamy. Here's hoping. Dosenna eh? Looking up stats doesn't really say much other than he'll be the first Italian international to play for Liverpool. Aurelio's injuries and the fact Riise is up for transfer means he'll definitely be gettign first team play so we'll see what he's made of soon enough. What's happening with Gareth Barry? Apparently Benitez is trying to off load Alonso, Crouch and Carson to make room. This post has been edited by Cruel Shoes: Jun 10 2008, 1:47 AM ![]() Cruel Shoes no more |

I think Alonso will go to Juve and Barry will be his direct replacement. Money from the Alonso deal will be used for Barry. Sure Alonso been great but Barry is more consistent, beater suited for premier league, can play 3 positions and plays well with Gerrard...so good business.
Crouch will probably go.....rumored it maybe in the Barry deal. I don`t expect some class replacement given that Rafa will very probably stick with 4-5-1 next season. Would love Rafa to loan Zarate tho. Carson, again rumored to be in the Barry deal. Liverpool signed Degen....he is in the Switzerland squad but was injured most of last season...dunno if it`s a good buy. Hopefully Agger can bounce back...Rafa can then move Carragher to right back if Degen fails. We`re also linked with Bentley and loads of other wingers, including Riera (once played for Man city) I hope he doesn`t come. And oh....Babel, Mascherano and Lucas are going to Olympics.....we are so fucked. |

Looks like Ramsey is joining Arsenal which is funny cause Manutd boasted on their website on 3 June, announcing: "Manchester United is delighted to announce it has agreed terms with Cardiff City for the transfer of Aaron Ramsey subject to terms being agreed and the player passing a medical."

heard this a few weeks back,
Hleb, Fabregas, Adebayor, Flamini, Eboué and Touré are leaving Arsenal. Flamini -> AC Milan rest in a good position for other big clubs _________________________ "You think you heersch, but I'll overheersch you!" http://edentoashes.wordpress.com http://myspace.com/metalallianz |

Don`t see Fabregas leaving as long as Wenger is in charge.
If Hleb is leaving, they`re fucked anyway. |

QUOTE If Hleb is leaving, they`re fucked anyway. Nah that's a load of bull. He has only ever had a few good game for us. His passing is pretty poor and his shooting even worse. For an attacking midfielder his conversion rate is shocking. As for the rest of that list, are you having a laugh? This post has been edited by Baron Greenback: Jun 10 2008, 6:30 AM |

QUOTE Tottenham have completed the signing of Mexico international Giovani Dos Santos from Barcelona for an initial £4.7m. That fee could rise to £8.6m depending on appearances and Giovani, 19, who has signed a five-year deal, said: "It's a dream to come to a big club like Spurs. BBC Sport ohhh YEEEAAYAAH!!! Excited as fuck about this! with Dos Santos and also luka Modric (who looked impressive in his first european championships game) on board and with more to come could be a verrrry good season for spurs next year ![]() |

no. You think Nasri will do any better? Well we have to get him first. But as long as he has some sort of end product that's good enough for me. We've missed the clinical nature of Rosicky and Van Persie when they've been injured. So as long as he can actually shoot and is not some sort of injured retard then I reckon he could do quite well. Edit: Carlos Vela is already a legend in my eyes. On hearing Dos Santos had signed for Spurs: "He is a very good player and let's hope he can then move on to a better team." QUOTE could be a verrrry good season for spurs next year Lol i am hesitant to get too confident cause it usually doesnt work out lol but thats two quality players in out team now who should be able to move us up a level. We need a new goalkeeper (tho i wont be too upset if we stick with robbo) and we need defensive cover for King and woodgate but we've got a pretty strong team shaping up. Not saying we'll break the top 4 but we should be up there!............ IF....Berbatov stays.... ![]() |
