Religion is no fun.
Religion endangers the life and happiness of millions.
It must stop. We appeal in particular to the youth of today.
STOP THE MADNESS!
There are better things in life.

Mine's pretty... But yours is sexy. drool.gif

I love the shit out of this.

Favourite tracks:
The Demon's Name is Surveillance
Swarm
Demiurge

When the vocals match up with the guitars in the second
chorus on Demon's Name... I shit my brain every time.

Only song that won't sit with me yet is The Hurt That Finds You First.

Easily my favorite Meshuggah album ever.

It's not doing well for traffic around here. Apparently, I want to kill everybody that drives a car whilst listening to this.

I can't stop saying "Fuck you!", "Move you stupid bitch!", "Hello!?...the light's fucking green you dumb motherfucker...MOVE!".

I need a Monster Truck. 11jacked.gif

Seriously. This album is amazing. I can't wait to buy it and watch the DVD. metal.gif

I take this statement back. The riff at 1:49 and then the one follwing at 2:19 did the trick.

At least we all agree on something. Now I need to convince you guys that "The Thing" prequel was an awesome movie. 04happy.gif

The outro to that song is killer.

Damn, haven't listened to these guys in a long time. Remember when they first came out, they were supposed to be the biggest thing for the future & rule the World later on. Guess not.

Always thought they were good, but could never really get into them. Too "proggy" for me, they tried too hard for it, & it made the music sound less natural and more disjointed. Schizo-metal if you will.

I think The Dillinger Escape Plan are more "Schizo-metal" than Meshuggah. tongue.gif

Hopefully it'll arrive before Easter.
In the meantime I have Spotify.

It's easily the best thing they've done since I. I wasn't a big fan of Catch 33 and Obzen had some good parts here and there but as a whole I never really got into it that much. I'll have to spin Nothing again sometime soon but it never grabbed me either.

The Demon's Name Is Surveillance, The Hurt That Finds You First and then every track following it is drool.gif

Not to go off the subject but you're a dumbshit. The Thing prequel was a fucking disgrace. If you had any appreciation for the John Carpenter original you'd shut your retarded pie-hole.

I like a good debate. I like to be an asshole. If you don't like it you can suck it up or go fuck yourself. Does that make you sad? Quit crying you little bitch.

My favorite three are Marrow, Break Those Bones, and Swarm.

What I love most is the production. Guitars are very wide...almost 3D sounding. Listen to the beginning of Marrow and how much it opens up when the second guitar comes in. Mmmmmm tasty. Drums are huge huge huge. Some of the best I've heard in a long time.

Hey tough guy, I put a smiley face next to it in jest. I do appreciate you taking the time from punching the munchkin to your manowar posters to troll me though. And who's that douchebag in your avatar next to Phil?

Don't mind Willy, he's just drunk again...

Although he is right about that prequel... 06shady.gif

Anyways, I really like this album. Quite "Nothing'esque" at times, but at least on the first few listens, the new songs grab me more than on that album.

Its pretty awesome. As usual. metal.gif

I like Obzen, its just a bit different for them. A bit more emphasis on groove. This retains some of that groove, whilst going back to that classic Meshuggah sound. So fucking excellent.

At least thats how it sounds to me, after 2 listens. tongue.gif

Those 8 string custom Ibanez' downtuned sound pretty wicked. I think "The demon's name is surveillance" could be the coolest song title ever.
