My trusty Nokia E51 has been acting up a lot lately with lots of random crashes, conversations cut off, and it's collecting dust behind the screen like a motherfucker (I've cleaned it several times) - so I decided to get with the times and get a touch screen cellphone. Ordered one of these - the Samsung Galaxy S:

metal.gif

My girlfriend has an E51 too and she experiences a lot of conversation crashes too. Do you know if it's a known issue of these phones ?

Don't know - mine worked fine for about two years, before it started acting up a few months ago. Besides the cut calls, the most annoying thing is where the OS suddenly has a hick up and you can't actually see the menu when you press the menu-button. This seems to happen frequently when I read texts, and the only solution is to reboot the phone. Even tried upgrading the firmware, but that didn't help.

Anyways - as soon as I get the silicone protection skin for my Galaxy S, I'm retiring the E51 for good. Got the Galaxy the other day, and I'm loving it so far. The screen on this thing is insanely good! HD-video looks amazing, so this is definitely a great device for watching TV-shows/movies on the go (will probably come in handy on my flight to/from Australia in a few months!). Really cool with all the apps you can get too, but it's kinda annoying that the pay-part of the App market isn't open in Norway yet.

Well since I left my gearbag on the train with all my bicycle gear and new sennheiser earphones in it. I've had to start to replace the stuff bit by bit.

Need to buy a helmet, another pump, mud-gaurds, some bicycle shirts and a ruck-sack next. sigh.gif

Got myself a Carolina Panthers old school script cap from back in the mid 90's. Dunno where the fuck the seller managed to find one of those caps still brand spanking new, un-used still with the tags, but it was too good for me to pass up. I'm just waiting on the black version of the same cap in the mail.

Also bought some replacement leads for my Sennheiser eH250 headphones.

And I've pre-ordered the deluxe box set of Linkin Parks new album "A Thousand Suns" which gets released soon

A Lamb Of God shattered glass t-shirt, a Killadelphia cap and the "Hourglass" boxset

And I'm still waiting for an order from HMV Japan to be completed (just waiting on the Slayer "Live Intrusion" DVD, then it all ships out after august 17).

Fear Factory "Mechanize" festival box set
Sevendust "Cold Day Memory" (no Japanese edition with bonus tracks 03sad.gif )
The Haunted "Road Kill"
KoRn "III: Remember Who You Are" (special edition)
Soilwork "The Panic Broadcast" (Japanese special edition)
Soilwork "The Sledgehammer Files: The Best Of Soilwork 1998 - 2008" (some old SbS & TCM tracks remastered + an orchestral mix of "Exile" and a DVD of their music videos....worth a look IMO)
Drowning Pool "s/t"
Soulfly "Omen" (Japanese special edition)
Slayer "Live Intrusion" DVD

Plus a few more cd's (soundtracks and rebuys that don't really bear mentioning) all in the same order from HMV Japan.

Excuse the lack of pictorial evidence, but for some reason, dynamic pages in the IMG tags are not allowed. GAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!

It is indeedy, I only need something for at home and it pisses all over my old flextone, especially with an OD pedal in front of it. Wtf was I thinking, that modelling amps could actually work? Pah.
