I hope Bill doesn't mind I start this thread, but it is needed. 02smile.gif

My random thoughts:

- It's bloody hot in my office, thank god the sun turned away from my window.
- I just gave myself the night off to watch the Dutch football game with my friends.
- My boss gave me the day off on December 15 so I can go to see MH in Antwerp! metal.gif

I brought my tattoo design to my artist today and all he did was stare at it for five minutes, then he held the paper to the part of my body where it will be, stared at the paper some more and then just said "awesome!"

I can't wait for oct. 16th now!!!! eee.gif eee.gif eee.gif

Why is everybody getting tattoo's lately? I know of 6 people in my "social circle" who are getting tatts. Then I read on here every other day some people are getting them as well, or thinking about it.

Well "why?" is a silly thing to ask, of course its because they want to. I just find it odd that Im seeing "im getting/thinking about getting a tatt!!" a lot more than usual.

Quick vent no. I've lost count.

I don't see the need for a "smart phone", if I want to browse the net... I have a computer at home. If I wanted to take pseudo-arty camera shots of myself in the mirror... well thats the day I'd kill myself. If I need to make calls/texts, I have a normal phone, that's all I ever want to use my phone for.

I honestly never understood why a person would need an Iphone (at the prices they are at, I honestly don't understand the attraction).

+1

I have my ipod for music, phone for ringing and camera for taking pictures.
Wait, that's not entirely true. I use my phone as a camera as well... But.. Yeah.
I can see why people would buy one, as it's easier to have all your gadgets in one.
But then again, if you lose/break one thing you lose them all. Plus they're
stoopid expensive and they're often really, really shitty in terms of quality, durability etc.

Techlology is pretty stupid at times.

Well I guess they serve their purpose to somebody who works away from home a lot or to somebody who does a lot of travelling, but they really don't to average joe.

I guess its mostly down to a trend thing, something I have never understood; trends, fashion, street cred.. all that bullshit. Never got it. Or why its so important to people. Its just something thats really bugging me this morning, there must be something there I'm missing. 01laugh.gif

Just got me a letter through the door inviting me to a 2 week induction course for Forklift training, oh yes. Then if I get through that its practical training. Expanding horizons ftw!

Got a letter though a couple weeks ago rejecting me because I haven't yet been discharged from the hospital, which I will be on the 27th of this month. Takes the piss. So when Ive been discharged I'm going to have to start my application back up again, I think. Unless they keep me on record, which I doubt. (edit: or of course if I have some illness that invalidates me from joining).

So it'll be some months yet, probably next year when I start getting anywhere with that.

In the meantime Im just looking to get a job to tide me through and keeping my options open.

Yeah 01laugh.gif Ive already driven one, that is just one part of it though. One week includes some tests and assessments. It's for a qualification.... of some sort. 01laugh.gif

I found it in the Job Centre last week and I thought it sounded cool, like I could learn something new. Another thing to put down on the old CV and hopefully open up some more opportunities. There ain't so many of them around these days.

Cheers. 02smile.gif know 100% the Army is where I want to be in a few years, a few months set back is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I would be pissed off though if I was at the selection stage. 01laugh.gif

I know I probably shouldn't but I can't stop laughing at the video of the Pacific Sun Cruise Liner in heavy seas. The dude in the striped jumper just goes back and forth across the floor with the loose chairs and furniture.

Man, it kills me. 01laugh.gif

How could I, ever think, it's funny how, everything you swore would never change, is different now, like you said, you and me make it through, didn't quite, fell apart, where the fuck were you?

I really need to see it all drawn/designed out to make a better judgment call...thanks for all the advice and suggestions, I sure appreciate it!

- Motherfuck....I have been so depressed lately! I go through a "phase" of being super happy, then go through a short "[=phase" of being super depressed. What a strange week. Started it off mega-stressed about previously mentioned issues, then I had an awesome holiday, then I got stressed again about running out of money and going back to my shit job, then I got offered a new job today which sounds like heaven compared to this one. My head is spinning.
