Firecracker (starring Mike Patton) Only seen about half and so far it makes no sense. It's like Alfred Hitchcock directed a remake of Carnival Of Souls written by David Lynch. Patton's dual performance is a bit sketchy, but so far so good.

Then I plan on watching Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions back to back to see if they're as bad as I've been told for the last five years.

You Don't Mess With The Zohan - 3 stars - I admit I laughed a lot, and I know that it's a mindless comedy, but the last 1/2 hour dragged.

Trust me, they're even worse.

Films:

Fata Morgana - 4 stars

Awesome film by Herzog. If you dig his stuff be sure to check this out.

Iron Man - 2 stars (add one for R.D. Jr.)

Alright, intro is too long and parts seem rushed. Robert Downey is awesome though.

I thought Reloaded was pretty good, but Revolutions sucked. They had somewhat of a good thing going in 2, but it's like they ran out of ideas for three and just went apeshit with special effects.

The Orphanage: :4stars

This was a really well done movie. Well filmed, the story was well written, there was a lot of creepy shit going on and you don't see a lot of quality ghost stories like this any more. Watching it on Blu-Ray was a definite bonus, as it was very pretty to watch and listen to.

Oz, the only reason I'd reven recommend two is for continuity purposes for part three. Two sucked.

Went to see "London to Brighton" yesterday, one of the most disturbing and creepy films I have ever seen.

Later

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay - **
Horrible movie. I laughed my ass off.

Wall*E - ****
I've never seen anything like it. Very little actual dialogue, and a surprisingly poignant, risky, "politically fashionable" message. The bastards made me fall in love with a CGI robot.

Wait, I guess not. Don't think it comes out here until Friday.

We'll make it a Father's Day date. By the way, my kiddo has sense found a new appreciation for Rattatouille, based upon his love for a seriously old VHS I had of "The Mouse and The Motorcycle".

That actually makes me really happy. 04happy.gif Just like Rat, they're not giving folks too much to go on with Wall*E. I think that will actually end up being good. Less advertisements and lots of word of mouth. Like the good ol' days.

I just noticed what you said about the dialogue, and what Wiki has to say.

We'll see how that goes, I'm not sure he'll focus his attention if there isn't much dialogue, but he surprises me every day, so we'll see.

Ben Burtt does Wall*E. It took me right on back to '79 (saw it late @ drive-in in jim-jams) when I fell in love with R2D2.

I think he'll dig it. 02smile.gif
