Liam Neeson is so good he can hold up a movie all by himself. |

Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
I pretty much know this movie (in particular its soundtrack and sound-bites) off by heart but my spanish housemate had never seen it. So I had to educate him. Needless to say he loved it. (despite us failing to get the subtitles to turn on). A spanish guy trying to decypher cockney slang is nearly as entertaining as the movie itself. Anybody seen this yet?? Ignore the bad reviews, this prequel to the 80's Carpenter film was great. It sucked ass. Are you sure we saw the same flick. The special effects, the constant build up of paranoia? Critics said it was hard to understand everything happening, but it was pretty clear for sci-fi and horror freaks like me. I still strongly reccomend it. It sucked ass. ![]() |

Fucking slow and weird horror film of people going missing. Think of The X-Files. Then think Of David Lynch. Then think of your car keys going missing and then finding them under your pillow 7 years later, but instead of car keys a person. Voila. |

I went into this with the mentality it was going to take an abortion in front of my tv. That's probably what made me enjoy it so much. I guess I'm alone in this thinking because.....NOBODY LIKED THIS FLICK! It's never too late to start beefing up your obituary |

Even though it was supposed to be a prequel, it was a half assed copy of the Carpenter's The Thing. ![]() |

I'm re-watching both seasons of Dark Blue, although I prefer season 1 a lot more over season 2, because it's a lot darker. I dunno why I love this show so much

A fine film, but I can't get over the music and the slo mo shots. I know it's the 80s, but there's no reason to make half the movie look like an Oil of Olay commercial. |

Beautifully shot with the only really important question in mind. But, it should have been announced as what it is. I was really expecting some end of the world carnage. ![]() |

I said a couple of pages back I wish Night of the Living Dead was released in special edition with a documentary of the film. Well the whole time I had the Dimension 40th anniversary edition which does in fact have a great documentary on it. I've always known the film is in public domain but the story of how it became that way is fucked up. I can't imagine how much money was lost because of that.

Gary Oldman made Hannibal. That guy is so underated as an actor. Most people don't even know he's British or "that was him" in different movies. Very diverse!

Completely agree with Runk's Silence of Lambs ratings and I'll throw in that 4th prequel piece of shit and give it basically 1 star......... I hope the kid that played Hannibal ran into some Edward Furlong-like drug problems and is waiting tables somewhere in L.A.
Also agree with Loomis 4 star review of They Grey and would up Midnight Run to 5 stars easily. Surprisingly enjoyable comedy produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay (Anchorman director). Doesn't look like much going by the synopsis, but the great supporting cast won me over. Midnight Run (1988) Fun as hell. Made me want to see a bunch of other DeNiro films. Did you hear Brett (Rush Hour) Ratner is making a sequel? DeNiro has already signed on. It's going to be so good! ^the only thing I liked about that movie was the motorway bridge scene. With the drone blowing shit up and knocking Tom Cruise off his feet into a car.

I dunno if it's different in the UK, but in the US Archer is on FX. It may re-run on Adult Swim but it's network home is FX. And yes, it's an amazing show.

I'm not sure, but yeah you're right its an FX show. I haven't seen it yet, but I know Adam Reed created it so I assumed it was an AS show because of that.

Fuck you, Tom Cruise. You talentless, overracting, uncharismatic, psycho piece of shit. Agreed. But I recently saw a making-of on MI4 where he did that, and I gotta give him major props for that: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...aper-Dubai.html ![]() But that's prolly part of the »psycho«-thing. QUOTE He believes if he performs the stunts himself, the audience believes more in his character.' Or he could just try acting. Y'know, like an actual actor would. Oh well. |
